Two School of Management alumni were recently in the news for company promotions and new career placements.
Ivan Jones, MBA ’99 alum, was just selected as Vice President of Finance with Travis Credit Union, in a statement issued by the company’s President and CEO, Patsy Van Ouwerkerk. In this capacity, Ivan will be responsible for planning and directing all aspects of Travis Credit Union’s investment program including reviewing the investment strategy, identifying new opportunities and recommending changes in investment operations to improve profitability. In addition, he will oversee all aspects of Travis Credit Union’s budgeting function. Ivan began his career with Travis Credit Union as a financial analyst in 2006. He was then promoted to assistant vice president of finance where he managed the Credit Union’s $900 million fixed-income investment portfolio as corporate treasurer and acted as coordinator of cost allocation profitability analysis on a network of 22 branches.

Raid Ismail, ’01 alum, was recently appointed CEO of Tadawi Healthcare Company. In this role, Ismail will be responsible for the entire Saudi Arabia operation. His experience will augment the company’s ability to add operational value to its network of pharmacies and wholesale distribution companies across the Kingdom.
Speaking on his appointment, Mr. Ismail said, “I am confident that the newly formed Board under the leadership of Mr. Al Sanie will enable the company to effectively implement its ambitious growth plans. As we further optimize and streamline our operational functions, Tadawi’s strong business model will enable the company to further enhance and cement its market leading position in the Kingdom and become a partner of choice as we expand into new lines of business and new markets”.
Prior to joining Tadawi Healthcare Company, Mr. Ismail held senior management positions with the Olayan Food Services Company in Saudi Arabia and First Food Services Company in UAE, in addition to senior roles within the Saudi Investment Banking industry.
