The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Office of Enforcement seeks a college Intern to serve as Special Assistant to Enforcement’s Chief of Staff. Enforcement conducts investigations and enforces federal consumer finance laws with a mission to create a fairer marketplace for consumers and responsible businesses that serve them. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, the Special Assistant will collaborate frequently with Enforcement’s attorneys and support staff. In addition to other duties, the Special Assistant will assist with production of quantitative and qualitative reports on the work of the Office of Enforcement; assist in coordinating the flow of decisional documents and other memoranda from Enforcement to other Bureau components; create, update, and organize Office of Enforcement resources for use by Office leaders and staff; and perform a variety of administrative tasks to support the Chief of Staff and the overall operation of the Office.

This opportunity is an unpaid externship. The individual must be a student in fall 2014.
