President’s Leadership Seminar with Angel Cabrera – Fall 2014

Mason Students:

The Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) Office, New Century College, and the Office of the President are hosting the President’s Leadership Seminar this Spring semester.  The President’s Leadership Seminar is an 7-week seminar that allows students to participate in a cohort leadership experience with the University President, Dr. Ángel Cabrera and Dr. Gregory Unruh. Students will have exposure to classic and contemporary literature that connects directly to leadership, innovation, diversity, entrepreneurship, accessibility, ethics, global citizenship, positivity, and happiness. The cohort leadership experience is designed to be interactive and engaging for students as they reflect upon their personal leadership. Students will have an opportunity to discover something new about themselves and their leadership through critical thinking, reasoning, logic, and challenging their own thought processes and beliefs.

Program Dates: 

  • Friday, September 12th from 1:00pm-3:30pm
  • Friday, September 19th from 1:00pm-3:30pm
  • Friday, October 10th from 1:00pm-3:30pm
  • Friday, October 24th from 1:00pm-3:30pm
  • Friday, October 31st from 1:00pm-3:30pm
  • Friday, November 14th from 1:00pm-3:30pm
  • Friday, November 21st from 1:00pm-3:30pm

Students are able to participate in the President’s Leadership Seminar for either course-credit or non-course credit. If students apply to participate in the course for credit, there will be an additional 5 sessions.

The deadline for Applications for credit seeking students (4-credit class through New Century College) – is August 15th at 5:00pm.  The deadline for applications non-credit seeking students is August 8th at 5:00pm. Space is limited.
