ALPFA is Looking For New Executive Board Members!

The Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) is looking for new E-Board members for the 2019-20 school year. We are looking for highly motivated and responsible individuals who want to network with professionals in a variety of firms in the DMV area, and help other students learn more about what they can do with their degree after graduation.

ALPFA is a national organization that hosts numerous events throughout the year for students to attend and hear how people have gotten to where they are. ALPFA also has an exciting annual convention that brings thousands of people together to celebrate diversity and even hire members on the spot for internships and full-time jobs! Simply put, ALPFA helps you achieve your professional goals!

Vice President
Duties include:
In the absence of the President, the VP shall be responsible for assuming their duties, file charter renewal forms at the beginning of each academic year, responsible for all recruiting activities, and plan to be responsible for training of the organization.

Duties include:
Shall be responsible for the inflow and outflow of cash in the organization, prepare a budget at the start of the semester with the President, communication the organization’s financial position to the Corporate Advisory Board, responsible for keeping accounting records up to date, and consistently reviewing operations to ensure that the organization operates within its means.

Duties Include:
The Secretary must prepare meeting agendas and keep records, reports and minutes of the Executive Board’s meetings. Shall be responsible for keeping the constitution and by-laws and shall amend them as required by the organization upon authorization of the Corporate Advisory Board, in addition to ensuring all documents are on file with ALPFA, Inc. The Secretary shall assist the VP in recruiting activities as needed. Will be responsible for all outgoing and incoming correspondence of the organization.

Duties include:
Responsible for the maintenance of the organizations websites: ALPFA’s GMU website and all social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, etc), shall be responsible for the preparation and publishing of the organizations newsletters every month and at the end of each semester, responsible for taking pictures at events and assisting the organization with technological change.
