A new Mason Masters in Real Estate Development initiative will provide each entering real estate development student with a stipend to apply towards industry association membership fees. Funds for the program have been provided through Mason’s Center for Real Estate Entrepreneurship (CREE).
“These industry organizations provide many valuable opportunities—not just to network locally, but to continually learn and grow over the course of a career,” said Mason MRED Program Director Bob Wulff. “We think that it’s important for our students to become connected to our region’s real estate professionals through these organizations.”
Regional real estate associations participating in the program include:
• Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA)
• Urban Land Institute—DC Chapter (ULI)
• National Association of Office and Industrial Parks–Northern Virginia Chapter (NAIOP)
• International Council of Shopping Center (ICSC)
To facilitate introductions, CREE hosted a reception at the Mason Inn for all MRED students, faculty and association representatives.
