MRED Program and GWCAR Join Forces for Benefit of Mason Students

December 16, 2013

With a membership of more than 600 commercial real estate brokers and affiliated professionals, the Greater Washington Commercial Association of REALTORS (GWCAR) has its finger on the pulse of the Capital area real estate market. This fall, the Mason Master’s in Real Estate Development and GWCAR entered into a partnership agreement that will give Mason MRED students a host of opportunities to tap into that energy.

Among the potential benefits: mentoring programs between Mason students and GWCAR members, career and internship assistance, access to professional forums and reduced membership fees.

“We see this as a symbiotic relationship,” said Mark Sullivan, Principal at Cassidy Turley and 2013 President of GWCAR. “Mason students will get an inside look at the commercial brokerage industry and we’ll have an opportunity to get to know the highly motivated real estate professionals that make up Mason’s MRED student body.”
