IT Pros Rank Mason #7 Best School for Cybersecurity

Hewlett-Packard-sponsored a survey of about 2,000 certified IT security professionals to determine the best schools for cybersecurity.

Mason ranks seventh.

The survey considers the experience and expertise of cybersecurity program faculty as well as the school’s reputation within the cybersecurity community. Survey participants were provide a list of 403 educational institutions and were tasked with selecting and ranking up to five institutions. Each was then rated based on respondents perceptions of the school’s academic rigor, faculty quality and other measures.

Most the schools, including George Mason University, that were in the top-10 list are NSA and Department of Homeland Security-certified centers of academic excellence.
