Best Practice Lecture: Building Enduring Communities

Monty Hoffman formed PN Hoffman in 1993 with a single townhouse conversion, and has since then transformed the company into a market leader of real estate development in the Washington DC metro area. With more than 30 years of experience, Hoffman actively leads the company's business and market strategy, as well as design initiatives for every PN Hoffman project.

Building Enduring Communities

Successful real estate developers and their projects change the built environment to reflect a community's needs, wants and aspirations.  Meet and spend an evening with the developer behind Washington DC's newest community, The Wharf, which formally opens a few weeks later on October 12. The Wharf is a skyline-altering project comprising 24 acres of land and 50 acres of water and includes a restored 200-year-old fish market, 1,400 residences, a 127-year-old yacht club, three hotels, office buildings, a 6,000-person-capacity concert hall and conference center, four public piers, and promenade with more than 75 restaurants and shops along a mile of waterfront. Attend this event to understand the development process and lessons learned. More importantly, hear about a real estate development career, business philosophy and vision which is making an impact on our community.
