Evan Saltzman joined the information systems and operations management faculty atGeorgeMasonUniversityin January of 2012. He received his M.S. in Operations Research at the Georgia Institute of Technology and his B.S. in Mathematics and Economics at theCollegeofWilliam& Mary.
Evan holds a full-time position at the RAND Corporation. AtRAND, Evan's research focuses on developing and applying optimization, stochastic, and statistical models. Recently, Evan has developed a model to simulate and analyze the U.S. Navy’s intelligence workflow processes. In addition, Evan has supported the development of the RAND COMPARE model, a micro-simulation that analyzes the implications of proposed health care reform policies, including the recent Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Previous toRAND, Evan also worked for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Department of Veterans Affairs.
