Al Baharmast serves as an adjunct professor of operations management, project management and supply chain management. As a private practitioner, Dr. Baharmast is CEO and Principal Business Consultant at Process Informatics Inc., a consulting firm specializing in enterprise architecture, business transformation, strategic planning, business process management and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation. He and his team of consultants are heavily engaged in sizeable enterprise architecture and transformation consulting projects at the United States Department of Defense.

Previously, Dr. Baharmast served as a business consultant, the director of projects for a non-governmental health organization, an economics and financial analyst, a programs analyst as well as a tax analyst and auditor. 

Professor Baharmast’s current research interests include strategically aligned operations transformation and the development of practical approaches to architecting the enterprise.

Dr. Baharmast received his Doctorate in organizational informatics from George Mason University and his Master's in international transactions also from George Mason University. He completed his graduate field study in Economics, Trade, Technology and Finance at St. Peter's College, Oxford University, and he received his Bachelor’s degree in international public relations from George Mason University.
