Les Verde is a management consultant and trainer with twenty years of organizational development experience. He is the founder and president of ALV Associates, a management services company based in Cambridge, New York. He has served as an internal and external consultant to city, state, and federal governments as well as corporations, educational institutions, and volunteer organizations.
Verde specializes in behavior and skill development training with emphasis on management/workforce development, change management, team building, and conflict management.
Verde has worked extensively throughout the government and private sectors advising senior leadership in applying systems interventions to identify and resolve organizational issues related to complex systems change. He is an expert facilitator skilled at balancing the critical tensions associated with group dynamics and integrating people, process, and process to yield effective, broad-based change.
As a career military officer, Verde served on joint service assignments as a member of multinational, special operations task forces in South and Central America and as the head of the counterinsurgency operations teaching department at the United States Army School of the Americas. He also served as the Inspector General for the Army acquisition agency. In this capacity he acted as confidential advisor to the agency Director and as agency ombudsman, handling sensitive issues involving management ethics, federal regulatory compliance, dispute resolution, and minority and gender related complaints.
Verde is a graduate of Northern Illinois University in Political Science and holds a graduate degree in Industrial Management. He is also a graduate of the Army’s Organizational Development Consultants course.
Mr. Verde is a member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland.
