Shun Ye is an assistant professor in the Information Systems and Operations Management area at George Mason University's School of Business. He earned his doctoral degree in management information systems from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.

Ye was one of the eight students selected worldwide for the 2011 NSFD-Funded WikiSym Symposium. He was also a finalist for the Frank T. Paine Doctoral Award for Academic Achievement at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland.

His major research interests include strategic and competitive impacts of emerging technologies, electronic market design, online consumer behavior, and social networks. Ye has presented his research in major IS conferences, including the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), the workshop on Information Systems and Economics (WISE), the Conference on Information Systems and Technology (CIST), and the INFORMS annual meeting.

Ye has previously worked as a software developer in China. He has taught at the Robert H. Smith School of Business and the University of Science and Technology of China.

He is a member of the Association of Information Systems (AIS), and the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS).
