Hampe brings more than twenty years of IT industry experience to the classroom. Most recently, he was the director of information security, policy and compliance at The American Red Cross. In this role, he established security policy and standards, directed enterprise information security awareness, and directed PCI compliance for ecommerce. He previously served as the information security manager, manager of software engineering, and software engineer and systems analyst at The American Red Cross.
Hampe has previously taught at George Mason as an adjunct professor. He is certified information security manager (CISM), certified software quality engineer, and certified federal chief information officer (CIO).
Received a Faculty Teaching Award from George Mason School of Business for outstanding teaching contributions in 2015 and 2016.
Received a Teaching Award from George Mason School of Business for faculty recognized for outstanding contributions to teaching in 2014.
