Anant Mishra is an Assistant Professor in the Information Systems and Operations Management Department at the School of Business, George Mason University. He completed his doctoral degree in Operations Management from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. His other degrees include a Master’s degree in Statistics from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.

Anant has designed and taught Executive MBA, MBA and Undergraduate level courses in Project Management, Operations Management, and Business Statistics. His current research interests derive from contemporary real world issues in the areas of project management, new product development, open innovation, and offshoring. His research has been published in Production and Operations Management and Journal of Operations Management.

Anant's recognitions include the School of Business Outstanding MBA Faculty Award, School of Business Research Award, POMS Applied Research Competition Finalist, INFORMS Technology Management Section Best Doctoral Dissertation Award, Honorable Mention in the Elwood Buffa Doctoral Dissertation Competition, and Outstanding Ph.D. Student Teaching Award.

Prior to pursuing a Ph.D., Anant acquired valuable experience in software development working for Tata Consultancy Services – a premier Indian IT consulting firm.
