Chi-Hyon Lee is an assistant professor of management at George Mason University's School of Business. He received his doctorate in information technology strategy from Boston University. His academic background includes a BS in physics from the University of California, Irvine and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
Lee's research interests include software ecosystem dynamics, alliances and partnerships, and network analytics and methods. Specifically, he seeks to understand how packaged software companies can create and sustain competitive advantage given complementarities, network effects, and system-based competition. He works with leading software product, service, and research companies. He also has prior professional experience as a systems analyst, software engineer, and systems programmer.
Lee’s research has appeared in the Academy of Management Journal, California Management Review, and Academy of Management Proceedings.
