Laura D'Antonio, Assistant Professor, joined The GMU School of Business in the Foundations Area in 2016. She teaches Business in Society and the Global Environment of Business including sections with an embedded travel abroad component. She has been instrumental in putting BUS 200 online supporting the University’s online expansion initiative. She comes to George Mason University from Midway University in Kentucky where she taught Global Business, Principles of Management, Strategic Management, Project Management and led the Senior Capstone project.
Prior to her time in academia, she enjoyed a successful Banking career with a focus on Commercial Banking, Private Banking, Mortgage and Construction Lending eventually reaching regional vice president levels at Wells Fargo and Citigroup.
Recent conference presentations include a leading a workshop at the Aspen Institute’s Undergraduate Consortium in Copenhagen, Denmark, a paper presentation at the Eastern Academy of Management conference and leading a panel session at the Innovations in Teaching and Learning Conference.
In 2017 she became a Dean’s Teaching Faculty Fellow. In 2018 she was awarded one of two awards in the School of Business for Outstanding Contributions to Teaching.
