Mason-IBM-NSF
Cybersecurity Workshop Report

Cybersecurity has emerged as one of the biggest challenges we are facing as a nation.

The partnership among George Mason University, IBM and the National Science Foundation (NSF) has led to two research projects—one focusing on cybersecurity leadership and the second on securing SCADA systems and the next generation smart grid.

A dynamic group of CIOs, CISOs, IT and smart grid experts, and policy makers from across the government, private sector, and academia, both domestic and international participated in an intensive workshop to provide insights on current and compelling cybersecurity issues.

Those insights are captured in the Mason-IBM-NSF Cybersecurity Workshop Report, now available for download.

What You'll Find Inside:

  • CISO core competencies

  • Cybersecurity programs for worldwide organizations

  • Securing the smart grid electric control systems

Additional findings from all aspects of the research projects were unveiled and vetted at the Mason-IBM-NSF Cybersecurity Leadership and Smart Grid Conference on April 30, 2015 at Hyatt Fair Lakes in Fairfax, Virginia. Download the second Mason-IBM-NSF Cybersecurity Conference Report here.
