Learn from the Best and the Brightest

"Mason's program affords its students the ability to learn from some of the best professionals within the industry who eat, sleep and breathe real estate." - Samantha Steketee '14

Our Masters in Real Estate Development faculty live, work, and consult in the Washington, D.C., area and draw on their real-world experience to enrich classroom instruction—partnering with business leaders and bringing relevant professional experience and new insights into the classroom. In addition to their teaching duties, they serve as your mentors and are involved in every aspect of your educational program.

They also do outside research in their areas of expertise—whether it’s real estate finance, sustainability, civil engineering, or real estate policy. Many of our instructors have achieved international renown because of their ground-breaking research, and Anthony Sanders, Distinguished Professor of Real Estate Finance, frequently testifies on Capitol Hill regarding the U.S. mortgage crisis.
