TechMan Classroom

An Experiential Learning Environment Rich in Cultural Perspective

Rigorous and relevant coursework is a staple of our Technology Management. You have the opportunity to seamlessly connect your studies with the contemporary business environment. Our faculty members incorporate daily opportunities to connect business theory with reality and advocate real-world learning. High-impact activities outside the traditional classroom setting allow you to integrate theory with practice—to advance your leadership and technology management abilities.

An integral part of the program is the opportunity to gain an invaluable global perspective—and a rich appreciation for other cultures and points-of-view. Each component of the program explores the role of technology in the complex world economy and examines the risks and opportunities inherent in global commerce.

Throughout the programs unique curriculum, you learn

  • Leadership and Management—organizational design, business process design, managing teams, entrepreneurship, change management, client management, financial analysis, market analysis, project management, quality control
  • Technology—strategy, commercialization, innovation models, assessment, forecasting
  • Systems Thinking—comprehensive analysis and decision making

The program culminates with a capstone project and an international residency. In the capstone project, student teams build on and integrate program course work to develop a proposal for a technology management solution to a business problem faced by a company. At the end of the capstone project, the student teams present their proposals to a panel of industry leaders. Many past capstone project proposals have resulted in funding from the subject companies.
