International Academy of CIO

George Mason University's Technology Management program is a founding member of the International Academy of CIO and Program Director, J.P. Auffret, serves as an IAC vice president. With the IAC's clearly defined missions and activities, IAC will be able to serve CIO community on their continuing efforts for ICT and e-Government development through an effective collaboration among CIOs, academia and expert parties both in the public and private sectors.

International Telecommunication Union

George Mason is also a member of the International Telecommunication Union, the United Nations' specialized agency for information and communication technologies – ICTs. ITU allocates global radio spectrum and satellite orbits, develops the technical standards that ensure networks and technologies seamlessly interconnect, and strives to improve access to ICTs to underserved communities worldwide.

Advisory Council

Our Technology Management program also has an advisory council consisting of a select group of regional business professionals. The advisory council advises and assists the director in preparing graduates to be successful contributors in the technology sector.

Capital Technology Management Hub

We also partner with professional groups including Capital Technology Management Hub (CTMH), a leading networking organization for technology management professionals in the Washington, D.C., metro area. The group provides a forum where professionals can effectively network, learn, recruit, and search for new career opportunities. Technology management professionals and associates are either decision-makers and/or decision-influencers in leading companies. CTMH provides a forum where they can gather and share information on a regular basis.
