Management Student Named CAA Golfer of the Week

kevin yerksSchool of Business junior, Kevin Yerks, was recently named CAA Men's Golfer of the Week, along with William & Mary's Jeremy Wells.

Yerks earned a fourth place finish at the Virginia Commonwealth University Shootout held at the Hermitage Country Club Manakin in Manakin-Sabot, Virginia. He shot 70-72-74 – 216 (even par) to lead Patriots to a tie for ninth place with former CAA golf member, Old Dominion University. Yerks led the field in birdies made with 14. He had the most birdies for the tournament outshooting the next three competitors who had 11 birdies each.

Yerks, an Ashburn, Virginia native, was recently accepted to the School of Business as a student with BS status and is pursuing a management major. He has also been on the Dean's List all three semesters he has been at Mason.
