The Business Minor

Your Passion + Business Minor = Expanded Career Opportunities

The Business Minor provides an introduction to the business skills needed for success in the rapidly evolving world of business. It is designed for non-business students who wish to learn the broad business essentials necessary to enhance their own area of expertise and make them more employable.

The Business Minor draws on the School of Business core courses to provide exposure to contemporary business concepts and practice. You will develop a foundation in the functional areas of business including accounting, finance, management, marketing, and information systems.

The minor requires the successful completion of 15 credits (5 courses) with a grade of C or higher. Some of these courses are already required by other undergraduate majors at Mason and some can be used to meet Mason general education requirements.

Requires sophomore standing (30 earned credits) to begin the minor courses.
