The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation (MCHF) supports the efforts of Marine Corps History Division and MCU Press in a variety of ways. The MCHF is currently accepting applications for a marketing and outreach assistant to support these organizations with campus and public events, acting as an outreach coordinator responsible for supporting branding, communications, promotions, and social media projects. The assistant will attend local and national conferences with associations and think tanks to strengthen the MCU Press and History Division brand. In addition, the assistant will be responsible for social media initiatives, posting calls for papers and new releases to generate new readers and potential new authors. Further, the assistant will support ongoing promotional efforts with work on and distribution of seasonal catalogs, mailers, advertisements, and calls for content.
Applicant must have an advanced degree in an applicable field, such as publishing, advertising or marketing, public relations, etc. Further, they should have previous experience with outreach, branding, and promotion.
This position is fully funded by the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation and is not a federal government position. This is a part-time employment opportunity perfect for graduate and PhD students interested in working while completing their educational requirements. Compensation: $15/hr for up to 29 hrs a week plus an annual travel stipend to support attendance at networking events.
