The Alpha Challenge – GMU’s Inaugural Stock Pitch Competition

The Alpha Challenge is GMU’s first ever stock pitch competition run by the Montano Student Investment Fund and Finance Department.

The competition’s objective is for student teams to select, research, and pitch a stock for consideration for inclusion in the Montano Student Investment Fund. Students will be provided with resources to help them improve their skills in equity research and stock pitching. Students will choose a stock and pitch it to a group of professional judges (including an Investment Banker, Wealth Manager, and Asset Manager).
