CREE-Sponsored ARGUS Workshops a Sell-Out Success
More events planned for 2015
As evidence of the increased demand for ARGUS proficiency in the commercial real estate industry, the Center for Real Estate Entrepreneurship’s first foray into providing training in this data-taming software was a sell-out success.
Taught by Robert Rajewski, a highly regarded Certified ARGUS trainer, the Fall workshops included two consecutive Saturdays of intensive, hands-on ARGUS instruction, followed by a third day of optional certification exam preparation. Most participants planned to take the rigorous ARGUS certification exam.
“I enrolled in the ARGUS workshop because it is the industry-standard valuation and cash flow projection tool. Working for a publicly traded REIT, I regularly forecast values, model cash flows, and evaluate deal structures in an effort to maximize value and minimize risk,” said Dennis Fay, George Mason MS in Real Estate Development student. “Adding ARGUS to my skill set will aid in accomplishing these goals and optimize my interactions with developers, brokers, and investors.”
The ARGUS workshops are part of a continuing series of educational opportunities offered through the Center for Real Estate Entrepreneurship to advance real estate education in the National Capital Region. Other events have included an Excel for Real Estate Analysis series, case study tours at locations such as CityCenterDC and One Loudoun, as well as one-day professional seminars on practical development challenges including parking solutions, due diligence and business development.
