Mason MS in Real Estate Offers New Career Development Program

Committed to helping students achieve their career goals in every way possible, the Mason MS in Real Estate Development program (MRED) has recently introduced a new individualized Career Planning Program.

“We want our students to be able to make the best career decisions possible, which means having the best information about themselves and their industry,” said Program Director Bob Wulff. “The most effective way for our students to achieve their goals is through individual counseling.”

John coeMason has retained the services of John Coe, Managing Director of Ceres Capital Partners, and a 35-year veteran of the National Capital Region commercial real estate profession. He also has significant experience as a mentor in the Urban Land Institute’s Young Leaders program. Coe will work with current Mason MRED students to help them determine their areas of strength, core real estate interests, and individual goals. Armed with these assessments, he will help students develop a career map to achieve those goals.

The Career Planning Program is being subsidized in part by the Mason Center for Real Estate Entrepreneurship.

“We recognize that our real estate master’s degree students are highly motivated individuals who have made a significant commitment to enhancing their skills and career potential,” says Wulff. “Whether they’ve enrolled in the program

  • to raise their current real estate career trajectory,
  • are planning to switch career paths within the industry, or
  • are seeking the skills that will enable them to better run their own development firms,

we want to be sure they have the information and tools they need to make the most rewarding career decisions.”
