Where are We With Blockchain Technology and Real Estate?
The recent news around cryptocurrency has put blockchain technology back in the mainstream discussion. Business leaders remind us that blockchain technology today is like it was in the early days of internet technology. Blockchain may lead to faster, cheaper, safer, and more transparent real estate transactions where the traditional roles of intermediaries will be significantly changed.
It has been six years since efforts to utilize blockchain in real estate accelerated in areas like title records and automated escrow services with smart contract technology. So where is the industry today?
In this webinar hosted by the Center for Real Estate Entrepreneurship of the George Mason University School of Business, learn the basic principles of blockchain technology as well as the latest start-ups, pilot projects, and developments with states and local jurisdictions.
