Biography

Betsy M. Tretola is an associate professor within the Marketing Area in the Costello College of Business at George Mason University.

Tretola previously taught at James Madison University, Concord University, Virginia Tech, and the University of Maryland University College. She spent over fifteen years with AT&T in a variety of roles including offer development manager, project manager in business markets, business process planning and reengineering manager, and education technologist.

Tretola is published in a range of academic areas and is a member of the American Marketing Association.

  • Presented the paper titled, “Social Influence in Registration and Retention in An Online Technical Course” at the Edulearn16 in Barcelona, Spain in 2016 (with coauthors Khondkar Islam and Niels Bulskov). The paper was also published in the proceedings from the EDULearn16, 8th annual International Conference on Education and New Learning Technologies in 2016.
