Mitch Schoenberg is an Adjunct Professor in the Accounting department of the School of Business. He has extensive Audit and Finance experience from expatriate postings in Europe & Asia and he incorporates this international experience into the classroom.

He is an active CPA and maintains other professional certifications including CFE, CGFM, CIA and CISA. He has presented at conferences on Internal Controls, Audit and Corporate Governance.

Mitch is an Executive in the Federal Government and has held prior positions including oversight for Internal Controls/ Enterprise Risk Management, Federal bank examiner, Chief Auditor for a large financial institution, Regional Director with a big 4 Public Accounting firm (Audit and Assurance) and Director of IT and Banking Operations for a Fortune 100 multinational financial services company.

He has volunteered with the American Red Cross (National Capital Region) and has supported the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington DC and other public events by providing disaster response and radio telecommunications support (call sign K9CPA).
