Mitch Schoenberg is an Adjunct Professor in the Accounting department of the School of Business. His expatriate work experience included postings in Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, China, Luxembourg and the U.K. and he infuses this international experience into the classroom.

He is an active CPA (Virginia) and maintains other Audit and IT professional certifications including CFE, CGFM, CIA, CISA and MCP. He is a sought out speaker on Internal Controls and Fraud at Bank regulatory and Military Comptroller conferences.

Mitch coordinates the OMB A-123,  Statement of Assurance and ERM programs for a large Federal Agency component and has held prior positions as a Federal Bank regulator, as Chief Auditor for a large financial institution, Regional Director - Audit and Assurance with a big 4 Public Accounting firm and as Director of IT and Banking Operations for a Fortune 100 multinational financial services company.

He has volunteered with the American Red Cross (National Capital Region),  Fairfax County, VA / ARES, and supports the annual Marine Corps Marathon in Washington DC and other public events by providing disaster response and radio telecommunications coverage. Mitch is an FCC licensed Amateur Radio operator (call sign K9CPA).
