CGC Case Study Series

Business case studies have long been adopted in both undergraduate and graduate education as an active learning technique that promotes analytical thinking and decision making skills.

The Center for Government Contracting has inaugurated a case program that is centered on the GovCon industry.

This development recognizes that:

  • This industry provides 40% of the GDP for the Washington, DC metropolitan area,
  • The George Mason University School of Business is located within this industrial hub,
  • The strong interest of School faculty to research, write, and teach on GovCon interests, both federal and commercial, as it relates to Accounting, Financial, Information Systems and Operations Management, Management, and Marketing, and
  • There are 10,000+ Mason alumni working in the GovCon space in this region alone

The Center for Government Contracting is driven to create education content that expands the awareness of the industry through business case studies.
