Center for Retail Transformation Virtual Panel – Sponsored by Microsoft

The restaurant industry is a vital contributor to the local and national economy, generating $799 billion in sales and employing 14.5 million people in 2021 (National Restaurant Association, 2022)

A multitude of factors - COVID-19, changing consumer behavior, higher commodity prices, supply chain woes, and understaffing, have imposed several challenges on the restaurant industry. Perhaps as a consequence, a recent survey of 4200 restaurateurs found that 91% of restaurateurs had to increase menu prices, 38% were closed on days they were normally open, 60% had to reduce hours of operation when open, and a whopping 65% were understaffed (National Restaurant Association, 2022

How can restauranteurs address these challenges and transform themselves to succeed in the future? What are the fundamental elements of this transformation? How can data, technology, and automation play an enabling role in improved user experience, increased operational efficiency, and empowering and retaining the workforce?

Join the Center for Retail Transformation on Dec 1st at 12 noon ET when we host a panel sponsored by Microsoft addressing these issues and more featuring four amazing panelists:

  • Brian Lannan, VP Retail Experience, TTEC Digital
  • Hernan Mujica, Chief Information Officer, Texas Roadhouse
  • Ravi Arora, Senior Digital Transformation Executive, IBM Consulting
  • Ira Gleser, Director, Retail and Consumer Goods, Microsoft
