16th Annual Behavioral Tax Symposium: June 7-8, 2024

Body

The 16th Annual Behavioral Tax Symposium will be held in-person at the Churchill Hotel in the DuPont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C., on Friday and Saturday, June 7 – 8, 2024. The goal of the Symposium is to bring together scholars working on current topics in tax judgment and decision making.

A unique feature of this Symposium is that participants may present research proposals in addition to completed manuscripts. This allows researchers to receive feedback on their theory and research designs prior to collecting data – the time at which feedback is most useful for researchers running experiments.

The Symposium will be a full day Friday (starting after breakfast) and a shorter day Saturday (ending early-afternoon). Please plan to arrive in the region Thursday and either fly home in the evening Saturday or stay in town to enjoy the city. The conference hotel is located on a Metro line that will take you right into the heart of the city. The program will offer sessions for both proposals and completed manuscripts as well as sessions dedicated to the discussion of future research.

Participation by both faculty members and Ph.D. students is welcome. The registration fee includes lunch and dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday. Breakfast is included in the room rate for those staying at the conference hotel..
