The Costello College of Business at George Mason University recently honored undergraduate students who were named to the Dean’s List—achieving a GPA of at least 3.5—for three or more consecutive semesters. In attendance were 74 Costello students who had achieved that mark.

Additionally, the Dean’s List Scholarship recipients were recognized. These students not only matched the Dean’s List achievements of their peers in attendance but also demonstrated consistent excellence throughout their academic journey. Each recipient was required to apply for the scholarship by submitting a personal statement.

“We host this luncheon every semester because we want to take a moment to recognize that academic success isn't just about one good term—it’s about the resilience and hard work these students show every single day. Their perseverance is exactly what we strive to cultivate here at the Costello College of Business.”

Sebastian Campos, Mikaela De Los Reyes, Hayley Hang, Eshal Ikram, Francis Nguyen, and Linh Nguyen were welcomed to the stage one by one to receive scholarship checks from Cheryl Druehl, interim dean of Costello. Unable to attend, Quincy Wang and Katherine McCormick were also recipients of the award.

“We host this luncheon every semester because we want to take a moment to recognize that academic success isn't just about one good term—it’s about the resilience and hard work these students show every single day,” said Yena Kim, director of academic achievement and innovative learning at Costello. “Their perseverance is exactly what we strive to cultivate here at the Costello College of Business.”

Each semester, the Dean’s List Luncheon celebrates student achievement and reaffirms Costello’s commitment to supporting their pursuit of academic excellence. As individual accomplishments are recognized, they collectively reflect the strength of the learning environment that the business college continues to cultivate.
