Biography

Peggy Tsirigotis is a supporting faculty member in the accounting department of the School of Business.   Peggy brings to her students a practical view garnered from her wide scope of accounting experience.  Her experience includes working in public accounting firms, and in both small businesses and large publicly traded corporations.  At Marriott International, she was the youngest Manager of Owner Reporting for the Senior Living Division where she lead a team of accountants in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.  She has experience in developing financial packages for the board of directors for Fortune 500 publically traded companies. Peggy also understands the small business owner.  She provided her accounting and consulting talents to support the accounting needs of her small business clients. She is also an active board member in educational, non-profit organizations. 

Peggy earned a Masters of Science in Business with a concentration in Finance from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from American University Kogod School of Business.  She is an active member of the AICPA.  Most recently she participated in an AICPA focus group where she assisted in the development of the Chartered Global Management Accountant designation.
