Patrick McCreesh, Ph.D., is an adjunct faculty member within the Management Area in the School of Business at George Mason University. He is the Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Simatree, a strategy, analytics, and technology consultancy. With 20 years of advisory experience, Patrick passionately leads teams through digital transformations and the development of analytics programs across the public sector and Fortune 500 clients. In 2021, Simatree was acquired by the financial services company Galway Holdings. In addition to managing Simatree, Patrick serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Mergers & Acquisitions team at Galway Holdings. Prior to founding Simatree, Patrick was an executive at Booz Allen Hamilton for over a decade, where he led data science teams across the federal government including the Social Security Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Justice.

Patrick is also a leader in the global change management community through the Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP). He was a co-founder and served as the President of ACMP D.C. for three year before serving on the ACMP Global Board of Directors. Patrick serves as adjunct faculty at George Mason University Business School where he teaches on Organizational Behavior, Change Management, Leadership, Teams, and the Role of Chief Data Officers. He is the author of two books on change in the workplace - Stuck (2022) and Workplace Attachment: Managing Beneath the Surface (Routledge, Taylor Francis 2019) - and has publications featured on Medium, Washington Business Journal, and Bloomberg Government Manager.

Patrick graduated from The University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs and History, received his Master of Public Policy from Harvard University, and completed his Doctorate in Public Policy at George Mason University. He lives in Vienna, VA with his wife, Courtney, and four daughters – Lizzie, Rose, Bridget, and Ginger.
