Biography

R. Scott Broshears graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Telecommunications with minors in Business and Sociology/Psychology from Indiana University. He earned his Masters of Accounting from the University of Arizona.

Broshears has approximately 30 years of financial audit, analysis and investigative experience. He spent eight years working with the Department of Defense as a cost analyst. Broshears then worked 21 years in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a Special Agent. The first thirteen years as a field agent investigating mostly financial crimes. His last eight years, he was a Supervisory Special Agent at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

A significant amount of Broshears’ time at FBI Headquarters was involved in developing and providing training in criminal financial and counter-terrorism investigations. Retiring from the FBI in 2013, he was employed with Morgan Stanley until coming to George Mason.
