Biography

Patrick Soleymani is the associate dean for outreach and strategic engagement and an associate professor within the management area in the Costello College of Business at George Mason University.

As a senior leader, Soleymani oversees the School's external relationships, including advancement, business engagement, and marketing & communicationsIn his instructional role, Soleymani is an award-winning professor in the fields of Organizational Behavior, Principles of Management and Entrepreneurship. He teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate programs at the Costello College of Business, and has led numerous global residencies to Europe and the Middle East.

Soleymani received his Bachelor of Science in Management and Master of Business Administration from George Mason University before receiving a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore. He is also a member of the Maryland State Bar.

  • Presented the paper titled, “Teaching Key Workplace Skills for the 21st Century: Problem Solving and Critical Thinking” at the Academy of Management in Atlanta, Georgia in August 2017 (with coauthors Mel Fugate, Angelo Kinicki).
  • Presented the paper titled, “The Digital Impact: Exceeding Expectations in a Changing Classroom” at the Eastern Academy of Management Conference in Baltimore, Maryland in 2017.
  • Received George Mason’s School of Business Outstanding Contribution to Teaching Award in May 2016.
  • Received George Mason’s School of Business Outstanding Service Award from George Mason University School of Business in 2016.
  • Course design award from the Associate Provost of Distance Education (2014).
