Dr. Sarah Wittman received her PhD in Organizational Behaviour from INSEAD (France) in 2018. A native of Montana, she holds a Bachelor’s degree with First-Class Honours in Business Administration (Simon Fraser University) and a Master’s degree in Political and Corporate Communication (Universidad de Navarra & George Washington University joint program). Dr. Wittman’s research broadly explores where the organization—and organizational member—begins and ends, and how different understandings of these affect firm relationships and resources. Within this scope, her current work uses mostly qualitative methodology to focus on questions around identity, legitimacy, and stakeholder relationships. Her research has been published in Academy of Management Review, Proceedings of the Academy of Management, and The Oxford Handbook of Leadership. With a Spanish Basque husband and three French-speaking sons, Dr. Wittman spends most of her free time in multicultural negotiations and diversity training.
