MOL Students Orientation Pathway

MOL students complete Orientation by following these steps.

1. Pay Deposit & Wait For Email

Pay your enrollment deposit which tells us you intend to attend George Mason University. Within one week of submitting your enrollment deposit (see date disclaimer below), a Costello rep will reach out to your email and send orientation instructions.

*Outreach for fall admits starts March 15 and outreach for spring admits starts October 15.

2. Confirm Campus 

Mason Online (MOL) is intended for students who plan to complete their entire degree online. If this is not you, please complete a Change of Campus to Fairfax and do not proceed with future steps.

3. Complete Module 1 

Learn more about Costello, online skills, and connect with your peers in Module 1. Upon completion you will receive instructions for Module 2 and be invited to set up an academic advising appointment.

4. Complete Module 2 & Prep for Advising 

After completing Module 1, move onto Module 2 where you will learn more about the curriculum and policies you will be working through. Schedule an advising appointment and prep for that meeting by reviewing your degree audit.

5. Registration - Onboarding Complete 

Last step of onboarding, you will review courses for your upcoming semester. After discussing, we will register you in your online business courses. Ensure all selected courses look correct in Patriot Web and notify cbonline@gmu.edu of any changes ASAP.

6. Review Extra Resources 

In preparation for school starting, explore resources and connections with classmates in a Canvas course our team has built for you called Costello College of Business Mason Online. Good luck. We hope you have a great semester!
