Course VPP 401 — Design Thinking Workshop
Course Description
A responsible-work-design lab for leaders and teams incorporating AI into workflows. Participants clarify human and AI roles, identify where judgment must remain human, design verification points, and examine accountability — mapping a current workflow, distinguishing automation from judgment, defining decision rights and verification points, identifying risks in AI-supported work, and creating a responsible 60-day workflow experiment.
Course Objectives/Key Competencies
The goal of this workshop is to give individuals and teams a durable, repeatable capability for solving operational and mission-critical problems — not a one-time exercise. Through hands-on, project-based work tied to a real challenge, participants leave with a shared design thinking toolkit, a tested concept ready for further development, and the confidence to apply the same five-step process to the next problem their organization faces. It is highly recommended that this course be attended by teams of 4-6 for maximum organizational impact.
