Drop-In Advising Sessions

Current George Mason University students can access drop-in advising sessions either in person (Enterprise Hall Suite 008) or virtually via Zoom. No appointment needed. Monday & Thursday:

• 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
• 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Note: If the Zoom space is unavailable, drop-in advising may not be active at that time. Check the top of the Undergraduate Academic Advising page for schedule updates.

How to Join a Virtual Drop-In Session

1. Use this link to log into Patriot Connect.
2. Follow the check-in process through Patriot Connect.
   1. Please make sure to select the Virtual Drop-In Check-In option.
3. Once complete you will be given a link to connect to the Costello College of Business Undergraduate Advising page within Canvas.
   1. Canvas may require SSO login.
4. Click “Join” under the Actions column.
   1. Zoom may require SSO login.
5. Once signed in, please wait for an advisor to assist you. 
6. Important: To be considered checked in for Virtual Drop-In Advising, you must complete the Patriot Connect check-in AND enter the Zoom room before the drop-in session ends. Completing the Patriot Connect check-in alone does not count as joining the session.

Note: This service is only available to currently enrolled George Mason University students because George Mason login is required for Zoom.

Virtual Drop-In Advising (Zoom)

Requirements for Virtual Sessions:

• Use a laptop or desktop to access your Degree Audit and share screens.
• Use headphones if you're not in a private space.
• Sessions are one-on-one between you and an advisor.

Meetings will be ended if you join:

• While in class, working, or in another meeting
• While driving or traveling
• From a public or distracting environment
