Course Description
Introduces students to the development of web-based information systems for E-business. Students learn to develop web-based database applications for eCommerce. Also covers Web 2.0 technologies and contemporary business trends and issues related to web application development. Emphasizes technologies, methods, and application development tools. Notes: Requires team project and computer lab. A third attempt will require academic advisor approval. Offered by Information Systems and Operations Management. Limited to two attempts.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to
- Describe the processes, techniques, activities and architecture of the web application development
- Design webpages using style sheets and CSS3
- Design and develop web applications using web technologies, such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScrip
- Understand the basics of JavaScript and jQuery
- Employ Frameworks to develop webpages
- Build an E-commerce/eBusiness system/website
