Close The Pentagon – It’s Too Big of a Target

Center for Government Contracting Senior Research Fellow Jim Hasik wrote a commentary for DefenseNews about why he thinks the Pentagon should be closed.  

Hasik points out that, “In 2001, an attack against one of the five sides of the Pentagon killed 125 and forced a partial evacuation. The Defense Department showed impressive resilience: Even as one side of the building collapsed, its command center kept functioning.” Hasik thinks it could be much worse if the Pentagon were attacked again. 

In addition to the Pentagon being a sitting duck, Hasik also argues the COVID-driven necessity of working from home has proven quite effective.
