How to Schedule an Advising Appointment

Connect with Your Success Team via Patriot Connect
Use this page to learn how to connect with your George Mason University Success Team, which includes your:

• Assigned academic advisor
• Student success coach
• Program coordinator

You can also access student support services such as learning assistance.

What You Can Do with Patriot Connect

1. Find Your Success Team and Support Services
Quickly locate your assigned academic advisor, student success coach, program coordinator, and/or access support services, like learning services. 

2. Schedule Appointments
View available time slots and book appointments with your Success Team or support services. Appointments are available both in person and via Zoom.

3. Access Notes and Complete Tasks
Review meeting notes from your advisors and support staff. Complete any assigned tasks, including scheduling and attending referral appointments.

Appointment Availability

Appointments are available to current George Mason students during the following times:

• Monday & Thursday: 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Tuesday: 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• Wednesday & Friday: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Virtual Advising Guidelines

If attending a Zoom appointment:

• Use a laptop or desktop to access your Degree Audit and share screens.
• Use headphones if you're not in a private space.
• Appointments will be ended if you join:
  • While in class, working, or in another meeting
  • While driving or traveling
  • From a public or distracting environment
