Adopting the risk‑taking mentality of his immigrant parents, Jason Howell, BS Accounting ’97, has never put limitations on himself. As an Independent candidate, he ran for a seat in the United States Congress. He authored a book titled Joy of Financial Planning: 7 Strategies for Transforming Your Finances and Reclaiming Your American Dream and has been featured as a financial expert and political strategist on a wide array of major networks and publications. He also teaches personal finance at the Costello College of Business at George Mason University. Most recently, he celebrated ten years of Jason Howell Company.
Daryl Wieland, '96, is Palantir’s senior director, USG Partnerships where he focuses on building enduring relationships with large Systems Integrators in the Aerospace and Defense industry that drives profitable growth.
Barbara Su is joining the Costello College of Business as an assistant professor of accounting.
Min Shen is an associate professor of accounting and a Philip G. Buchanan Fellow at the Costello College of Business. She holds a PhD and MS in accounting from Michigan State University and a BA in international finance from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
Laura Carrubba is a retired PwC tax partner with more than 30 years of experience in public accounting. She is experienced in advising both public and private corporate clients.
Mike Wetklow teaches accounting and data analytics at George Mason University, directs the MS in Accounting program, and serves as General Faculty liaison to the Board of Visitors Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committee — focused on preparing the next generation of accountants to lead with data and technology.
