The nation’s capital became the classroom for students in George Mason University’s MS in Accounting program this summer as the program hosted its first Washington, D.C., residency. 

For the second consecutive year, the Costello College of Business at George Mason University welcomed students, faculty, staff, and community members to hear from experts in AI. With AI evolving so rapidly, Navigating AI 2.0 had plenty of new ground to cover since last year’s event. 

When she saw Northrop Grumman's table at the George Mason University Career Fair, Neha Bandaru figured that any opportunity the company had to offer would be catered to engineering students. However, when she spoke with a Costello College of Business alum about what the aerospace and defense company had on the business side, it opened her eyes to the exciting opportunities available to her.

Interning at Deloitte was on Iman Chaudhry’s radar ever since she entered the Costello College of Business at George Mason University as a freshman and learned about the major firms in the area. As the president of the Mason Consulting Group, she’s tuned in to what’s happening at Costello and the opportunities available.

As a city, Barcelona balances a deep sense of history with a modern economy shaped by technology, global trade, design, and tourism. Its historical neighborhoods, rooted in tradition yet constantly evolving, sit alongside international companies and creative industries.

When Q Miceli saw that the Costello College of Business at George Mason University was offering the Executive Mentoring Program as part of the Costello MBA, she was all in. “I had just hit a point in my career where I started supervising more people and really wanted to get some perspective,” she says.

When Faris Madani started at George Mason University, he opted to major in economics, assuming there were limited classroom learning opportunities for someone aspiring for a career in business. It was not until he took the Survey of Accounting course with Peggy Tsirigotis, assistant accounting area chair at the Costello College of Business, that his perception began to change.

When Kha Han Trieu immigrated to the United States from Vietnam in 2019, she was uncertain of the career opportunities available to her. Encouraged by her aunt, who had been living in the United States for many years, she decided to give accounting a try.

Taylor Le, BS Information Technology ‘26, was participating in the Professional Readiness Experiential Program (PREP) internship at Mobius when he was put in contact with Brian Ngac, the assistant dean for centers and FedWriters, Inc., Corporate Partner Faculty Fellow at the Costello College of Business at George Mason University, who was helping to fund the program.

Launched in the spring 2026 semester, the Innovation and Design Lab for Business and Government (MBA 797) is a new experiential MBA course offered at the Costello College of Business at George Mason University.
