Setting You Up for Success
The Office of Student Success and Academic Services within Mason's School of Business has a staff of professional academic advisors to help you navigate your business degree requirements.
During the summer term, we are open for advising, with adjusted Friday afternoon hours. From June 6th through August 12th, the office will close at 1:00 p.m. most Fridays. In addition, advising will be closed at various times due to New Student Orientations and other summer events. Please be sure to call or email to confirm our hours before coming in for advising. There are two ways to meet with an academic advisor:

Prepare for your advising session:
Because you will need to access your Degree Works system and may need to share screens during your appointment, we highly recommend using a laptop or desktop computer. We also recommend using headphones if you are not able to attend the meeting from a private place. Due to safety and privacy, meetings will be ended if you attempt to connect
- While you are in class, actively working, or in another meeting
- While you are driving or traveling
- If you are in a public space or otherwise preoccupied.
Virtual Drop-In Advising
No appointment is needed for virtual drop-in advising sessions. Available drop-in hours are:
-
Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Advising times are subject to change during university orientations, holidays and other special events. Our virtual services could experience delays if the university is experiencing technology issues. An advisor will follow-up with you if this affects your appointment/experience.
