This hybrid area of finance and accounting is diverse, encompassing concepts and techniques used by individuals and businesses to minimize taxes, plan for wealth transfers, form a financial plan, and design savings plans for retirement.

This concentration is certified by the CFP Board. This means that by completing the degree, you will be able to sit for the CFP certification. In addition, the degree prepares you for a career as financial planner by connecting you with CFP professionals in the DC area to gain real world experience with your capstone class in the program.
