POSITION: Marketing Intern

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities of the intern will vary with each assigned project and may include the following:

  • Perform market analysis and research on the latest trends
  • Assist with daily administrative duties
  • Design and present new social media campaign ideas
  • Prepare promotional presentations
  • Draft blog, email, and digital content
  • Draft and distribute press releases, promotional materials, and event invitations
  • Monitor social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback
  • Help with the planning, promotion, and hosting of events
  • Contribute to the creation of mock-ups, email campaigns, and social media content
  • Help schedule out social media content in Agorapulse
  • Support engagement and outreach efforts/campaigns on social media platforms

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate course for Marketing, Communications or similar field
  • Proficiency with social media platforms
  • Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for marketing, public relations, and events

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Intern will work an estimated 20 hours per week
  • Depending on the scope of the project, work may be completed at The Market Group office, a client site, or remotely
  • Intern will attend a weekly planning meeting on Monday mornings
  • Tasks will be assigned as they arise

Estimated hours: 10-20/week or as required by the school

Note: This employer is offering "course credit" as compensation. The Internship for Academic Credit program available to School of Business students has academic requirements and requires students to enroll in a 3-credit elective course that charges standard tuition rates. The deadline to apply for the Internship for Credit program for the Spring 2023 semester is January 25th at 2pm.
