Purpose

The purpose of the intern program is to provide paid learning/educational and work-related experiences for individuals. The program’s focus is to ensure a positive experience at NGS through proper guidance, support, and the opportunity to learn from the host department/mentor, its management, other staff members and Human Resources.

Who can be an intern?

An intern should be a student enrolled at an accredited College or University. Summer interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States. NGS internship positions are not eligible for visa sponsorship. The intern will perform work on a temporary basis to gain job-related skills and will engage in other formal learning and educational opportunities.

Internship Timeline

  • January 29, 2024 - Internships are posted.
  • March 1, 2024 - Deadline to submit application.
  • April 10-12, 2024 - Offers will go out – only selected candidates will be contacted.
  • June 3, 2024 - Internship Starts.
  • August 9, 2024 - Internship Ends.

Length of Internship

Internships are 10 weeks long - summer only.

Schedule

40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

Work Designation

U.S. Based - Most internships will be remote with one week in Washington D.C.
